I used the product for the first time in my kitchen and it cleaned it well enough. I had to guide it away from my rug area, but that's what the invisible wall is for. It did pick up a lot of dirt; I have 10 cats that track sand everywhere and shed like crazy in the winter (when I have the heat up).

When I first recieved my scooba, I ran it several times until my floors truly were clean. It's amazing how much dirt is left behind from other methods (considering I'm a clean-freak). The clorox solution created for scooba works best, but using vinegar in it's place definitely does a good job of getting the floors clean. This little God-send has given back precious time that would have been spent cleaning on my own. One less thing on my list to do, means less stress in my hectic life and more time for my family with a me who isn't as preoccupied as before with so$ many household duties. No one would ever imagine that I have four large/giant breed dogs living in my spotless house thanks to my army of iRobots!
I loved my Scooba--it worked great and saved a lot of time. Only problem is it has a lot of electronic problems and now, after only owning it 3 months, it doesn't work at all. I purchased it on [...]from a trustworthy source who bought it as a gift and receipient didn't want it. So, it was brand new. It worked great for awhile, but then I had pump problems and now it has stopped putting down solution. iRobot will not honor the warranty b/c I bought it on [...] and have dirty floors again. Beware, from what I've read, this problem is common. I'd suggest buying one from a company who offers a lifetime warranty.
It does an amazing job of cleaning loose dirt, however does not clean dryed spots and tile grout well. Dirty water is often not vacumed up for between tiles and leaves a stain on the grout which has to be cleaned by hand. I alway clean mine well after using, but I still have had to have two replaced because of electronic problems. The battery on the one I have now for less than a year will not hold a charge and the store I bought it from no longer carries the Scooba so now I have to ship it back to the factory for replacement.

What a machine! A few simple steps to set up, and then walk away to do other things. And does it clean! when we first purchased SCOOBA, the floor had been swept and mopped the day before. We figured that it would be a waste, but wanted to run SCOOBA anyways. You should have seen the nasty, black, dirty water that Scooba sucked up off of that floor!!! It looked so bad that we ran SCOOBA through another cycle immediately!!! Since then, we have cleaner floors, and a happier "Mom"! Speaking of "Mom", mines 85 years old. We took SCOOBA to visit. At first she was unimpressed, but once she saw her sparkling clean kitchen floor, Mom ordered on for herself. I've recommended both Scooba and ROOMBA to everyone that I know,

The unit has it's cons for sure but it's still a huge time saver. It may not do corners but that's a minute or two for me to do compared to 45 minutes for the whole floor. It's a little loud but not as lous as the other hard floor cleaner I was using. [...]

This is, by far, one of the best investments I have ever made! We have had "Scooby" for over a year now and he cleans my floors better than any other mop or machine because he goes over every area repeatedly. My floors feel so good on bare feet when he is finished! Plus, it is such a wonderful time saver! I put in the cleaning solution and push the button... then go to work or go eat or go take a nap. He washes the floor UNDER MY BED!! I never did that before. Scooby is AMAZING!!

I have owned a Roomba Discovery for a year and have enjoyed it so much that I saved up and bought myself a Scooba. I received it this week, and have already put it to the test. After charging it overnight, I started with the kitchen, which it polished off in the time it took me to wash a load of rugs. I then moved Scooba to the bathrooms, which it shined up in no time, and headed to the Florida room. Scooba continued to busily clean, scrub, & squeegee half of that room (it is big) before needing a recharge. My floors are clean, and it took no more time than washing and drying the rugs. I am more than happy, I am free! Thank you, iRobot!

I was quite skeptical about this product (my husband even more because of the price) but I decided to give it a try. I tried it and absolutely LOVE it!! Wow it let me do other things while it was cleaning my floor and I must say it gets my marble floor clean!! I am very impressed with this item. I just ordered the Roomba Scheduler with Intelli-Bin since I am so convinced by iRobot's products. Since time and cleanliness is very important to me it is worth the money!!
I have 2 small kids and a HUGE kitchen. It cleans my floors like I could never do. I turn on my Roomba and Scooba and in a few minutes all of my floors are spotless. I LOVE iRobot.

At Christmas '05 I bought a Roomba Discovery SE for my wife. Instant hit - it takes care of all the vacuuming plus eliminating the cat hair problem. Saves hours every week. She loves me! Meanwhile she is still killing herself scrubbing and cleaning the ceramic tiles on her hands and knees. For our anniversary I gave her the Scooba and it is all that is advertised and more. On the first use it produced better results than the old manual method in a much shorter time with no knee blisters! The floors feel just like having brushed your teeth very well; squeaky clean. Now I am a hero. Great product; easy to use and maintain plus outstanding results. Be sure to read & follow the directions. Plus order the extra cleaning fluid at the same time as the unit or you will quickly run out of the "sample" provided and have to wait for re-supply.

I've owned two Roombas for a couple of years now, ever since a cousin introduced me to them. I use them quite a bit, and they are probably my family's favorite appliances (my three-year-old christened out first one "Christopher Coloomba"). Naturally, I coveted Scooba immediately upon its release. And when I finally purchased one this summer, it lived up to the promise of its brethren. I have five boys. You don't want to know what they can do to a bathroom within a few short days. With Scooba taking care of the floor, they've actually been inspired on occasion to take care of the rest of it.

I have 3 cats, 1 dog and a 2 -year old, and my floors are cleaner than everyone else's. I can't believe I went so long without the Scooba. If you have the extra money to spend, BUY IT!! This was my early Christmas present to myself and I'm so glad I bought it!!

I bought the Roomba Discovery and was so impressed with it that I came to this web site to see what other products were offered. I purchased the Scooba 5900 and just received it yesterday. I put it to work last night and I was totally impressed. The product lived up to its claim. I had read several complaints about how it leaves water on the floor. In my opinion, there was no more water left on the floor than what would have been there if I had used the mop myself. You do have to take a rag and clean along the edges, but in the grand scheme of things, this is not a huge task. The bottom line is that I love it! Instead of saving the cleaning for the weekend, I can get it done during the week. Last night the Roomba was going in my living room, the Scooba was cleaning my kitchen floor and I was out in my garden doing what I love doing the most!

I have 2 kids (who, this time of the year, are in and out of the house 15 times a day), a husband and several pets. I also work full time. My floor never got mopped as often as it should have. I tried assorted mops, an electric mop (not a bad product in its own right) but nothing cleans as well as this little guy. My floors have never been this clean. My husband was kind of shocked when I told him I was going to buy [the Scooba]. He thought for the price it was a luxury. I suggested to him that he begin mopping the floor. He changed his tune and decided it is not such a luxury. The only complaint I have is that it does tend to leave the floor a little damp. But it is damp when you mop by hand too. My only regret is not buying it sooner. Now if only iRobot would come up with a robotic toy picker upper!
You will have to pry my Roomba out of my cold dead hands. I LOVE this product. Two dalmatians, three cats and kids... they all add up to hairy, dirty carpets. Now that I have Roomba Scheduler, I come home to freshly vacuumed carpets every day. My only regret is that I talked my husband into waiting a few months to buy it! I'm now lobbying to buy a Scooba as we have a large kitchen, sitting area and office area that are hardwoods. Since neither of us like to mop (in fact we hate it), Scooba is going to be my new best friend. Thanks, iRobot, for developing these time-saving and very cool products.

I was hesitant at first to buy this product because of the price. I can tell you after 2 months of use, I have no regrets. It's like having a dishwasher for my floor. I have 2 toddlers and a dog. Before Scooba, the floors would get mopped maybe every couple of weeks. With all the spills and dropped food, it really needed it every couple of days. Now, with Scooba, I run a cycle every couple of days and the floors look great. As my kids say, "yeah sooba dooba"~~~

Absolutely wonderful! We have 2 pets (puppies) and hardwood floors. Scooba has made our life so much easier and cleaner! I'll never have to mop again! I might add that our puppies are rather intrigued with our new friend but stay out of her way while she cleans. :)

We have 9 cats and 2 humans walking across a huge kitchen and dining room floor on a regular basis. Even so, I work very hard to keep our home neat and clean, and have bought every conceivable tool available today in a desperate effort to keep up with the paw and footprints, not to mention fur and dirt. It was practically a full time chore. I purchased Scooba 2 days ago and tried it, not believing it could possibly clean as well as I do. This wonderful little robot thoroughly cleaned it all?fur, dirt, bits of dry cat food, paw prints and people prints?in a very large and irregularly shaped area. And I was able to do a load of laundry and take a break while it did the floor. If you are considering buying Scooba, don?t hesitate, just do it. Your only regret will be that you waited. All of the homes I have lived in for the past five years have had hardwood floors, and there is just no simple way to get them clean. The Scooba has done an exceptional job thus far ? I cannot believe how well it works. It not only covers the entire floor, but gets around obstacles as well. A Roomba will certainly be next on my purchase list.

Have you ever had your child spill a cup of water or milk over? Then you have paper towels over it but never really come to a point in your busy life to clean it up? Well then the Scooba is for you! It cleans on all my floor surfaces! Now I can leave for work and come back home to a glossy spotless floor! I love it! It?s a no-brainer! Buy it now!

Scoobie is wonderful. Our flooring is about 10 years old and not cleaned as often as it should be. Scoobie did a wonderful job. There are a few things you have to do; put in the water and cleaning solution, empty the dirty water and clean the filter, hose and brushes, but that is a breeze. I would recommend Scooba to anyone who hates mopping floors. Needless to say, my floor is cleaned once a week now without any moaning or groaning or putting it off. Thank you, iRobot for coming up with this product. I love it.

Am pleased with the way it works on wood (mine are beveled) floors and on vinyl. A bit tedious to clean and set up the unit, but goes faster with practice. If using on wood, be sure to listen for the sound that it has stopped ? you don?t want to let it sit on wood, no matter how well sealed the floor is. Can leave Scooba unattended on other type floors ? I start it at night and put it away in the morning. USE the virtual wall if you have a really large area to clean ? do part at a time for best results.

Oh, my goodness! Love my Scooba just as much as my Roomba!! 2 dogs + 2 cats + 2 kids + 1 muddy/grassy backyard = lots of dirty floors!! Scooba cleans them all quickly, more quietly than Roomba, and without leaving any streaks. Everything dries in just a few minutes. And it?s even easier to maintain/clean than Roomba! I can?t believe just how filthy the water is that comes out of it after it?s all finished. Awesome machine!!

I own both a Discovery SE Roomba with upgraded Scheduler, and the Scooba. These are great products. A tip about the Scooba: [it] ships with one virtual wall. Instead of spending $ on another, I recommend [getting] the Scheduler [virtual] walls for the Roomba, so you can control when [it] comes on and off. I tried the white virtual walls that come with the Scheduler on my Scooba and they work perfectly. I schedule my Roomba and my two sets of virtual walls, one for the Roomba and the other for the Scooba, so I don?t have to remember to turn them on and off. Unfortunately, the Scooba doesn?t have a scheduler yet. These are fantastic products that I recommend to everyone I meet.
