GREAT! reaches under the living room furniture and gets dust and things i never knew i missed from regular vacuuming! ???LOVE HIM???
I start her up and let her go! I shut any doors to rooms I don't want her to do. She's perfect!
It's wonderful to set Georgette down, turn her on, and go relax with the morning paper and my coffee knowing the house will be cleaned and the cats entertained.I first named it George, but when the brushes stopped turning [...] sent a replacement part, and a friend suggested that I change the name to Georgette. Now I wish she would do windows and laundry, I got spoiled in a hurry. I have recommended iRobot to several friends, my kid sister sold me on it.
I?ve had ?Ruby? for a few months and I can?t imagine being without her.
She has a one track mind and doesn?t let my two Yorkies detract her from her duties. She also is great at picking up cat litter, plus cat and human hair. Her extra little brush does a good job getting stuff away from the baseboard.
Ruby isn?t as loud as my regular old vacuum and weighs a lot less. Because of 'Ruby' I now move things that I haven't moved before when using the old vacuum.
I didn?t expect her charge to last long enough to clean more then one room, but many times I stop her because she has finished her work and cleaned all my floors.
'Ruby' also jumps over the metal strip separating the vinyl and ceramic tile like an Olympic star!
Once 'Ruby' has finished her work her cousin 'Scooby' takes over to wash the floors.
I love my robots!
I was very impressed with the speed and amount of hair and dirt it picked up. I own a Scrooba but I think Roomba 410 was great value and effectivly did it's job

amazing on pet hair!
We have had "Buddy" for 2 years and he has become a member of our family. His battery no longer charges and we miss him greatly. We are ordering a new battery and hope that solves the problem. He gets stuck sometimes in the tracks of our sliders, so now we put a piece of wood in the tracks so that he can bounce off and continue his journey. We, at times, forget that he is a machine and turn on the lights--but he can do the job quite nicely in the dark. He keeps our cat and dog entertained when we are away which helps their loneliness. We talk about it so highly that already 2 of our friends have one of their own. Only wish there was one that could do the dusting!
I received two units today - a Scooba and Big Red Sampson my Roomba - I am on cloud nine. I own my own business and so I am working 24/7 - but I can't stand to work in a dirty enviroment.
Big Red went around my room and hit areas even my vac didn't cover with me lugging it around. Now I only do stairs!! LOVE IT - I suggest to anyone who decides to buy one READ the instructions - if you do follow the Roomba Rules you will have a friend for life!
Even my two little doggies were not bothered by Big Red - they run when I drag out the vac.
I bought one around February 5,2008 and so far it has done a good job cleaning up my floors. You will need to vacuum the floor first with a regular vacuum or let the red roomba run over it a few time and cleaning the dust bin (what I did). But, after that initial cleaning it does a good job of keeping the floor clean. I would have given it 5 stars, but the need to clean it so often and the short length of time I have owned it (unsure of how well it will hold up) kept it at a 4 stars.
It only worked for 1 month???? I used it everyday as I have 2 boys and 1 big dog. I cleaned it like the book said. I can;t get it fixed I have taken it to two different places.
It should have lasted longer!!!!
I got Bob as an impulse thing, I was so impressed with the performance, that I bought Sam shortly after.
As a bit of a test of how well it cleans, I first cleaned the floor with the regular vacuum, changed the bag, and let Bob clean for three days, I vacuumed with the regular vacuum again, and checked how much dirt was in the bag. There wasn't any, which blew me away considering that I have two kids and a cat who constantly track dirt indoors. Bob cleaned just as well, if not better than my regular vacuum.
Now, I'll set Bob to clean the large room, and have Sam clean the kids' rooms, by the time I get back from class, both are done, and I can get to work on the rest of my chores for the day.
I plan on getting a Scooba just as soon as possible, I can't wait to cross sweeping and mopping off my list of chores.
We've been using Roomba Red for about a year now and have been very happy with it. This is not a heavy duty vacuum, but does a commendable job of cleaning carpeted and bare floors. It does become entangled in carpet fringe; the room has to be prepared for Roomba; it does not climb onto thick carpet. We use Roomba to take care of general floor cleaning, since neither my wife nor I like to clean. Our home is cleaner now that we have Roomba.
I finally bought Romba after my mom fell down on ice and she could not do any work at home. Also becasue of my lazy dad does not help mom at home.
Best thing I ever did to help mom. I go to visit them, they have a clean floor.
I use this product twice or once a week. As unable to use other types because of back problems this has been very helpful.
It works wonderfully.
I have had Roomba for almost 9 months and he has been wonderful -- and a very hard worker. I have uploaded videos of him wrestling the rug to YouTube and have talked my mother into getting one just like him. My boy has an attitude and has provided us with entertainment on occasion with some interesting manuevers. Sadly he has recently started behaving oddly and has lost his voice. [...].

We eventually got our roomba red after almost a year of thinking about it.We've recently renovated our house and roomba does a wonderful job at finding the fine dust and it wonderful that it cleans in hard to reach areas. It does miss some spots but then so do I.
It's great that it goes about doing it's work while I get on with my fun things. We make a great team.I wish it could clean itself. Now all I need is help with folding laundry.
This little jem can clear the room of 3 cats & then pick up the fur left by them. I'm disabled and would have very nasty floors without it. I am thinking of upgrading to get a bigger bin. The cats leave a lot of fur!!
I have 3 dogs and honestly this is the GREATEST. We are getting more of them for every floor of our house. When we first got ours I was like an Roomba infomercial showing it off...plugging the assets. Now 3 of my friends have them. Roomba Rocks!!
I have had my "Old Red" for over 4 years and did not have any problem until I had to replace the battery October 06, the new battery went down just before the year was up, did not last any length between charges. A co-worker bought the same machine on my recommendation she had the same problem with her replacement battery. The replacement battery's have problems that were manufactured durning that time.

home use, tangles too easy with rugs
Doesn't replace an actual vacuum cleaner. You still have to use a big vacuum. BUT ... for a quick clean up... I have cats so I use mine A Lot!!! I love it. I goes under furniture!!! Well worth the money

I hate to vacuum, so I love my Roomba Red! I received my Roomba as a birthday gift 2 years ago. I tell everyone that it is the best gift I have ever received!

Our home has a central vac system, but my Roomba is much better --Press the button to turn it on and walk away. When I return, my floors are clean! It takes care of the kitchen tile, parquet in the entry, and the various area rugs so well. I love this thing. If I ever have to replace it, will probably get the one that automatically goes back to it's charger. Have had it over a year and never any problems.
I used my Roomba about 2 month's after I purchased it and then had to put it in storage. Finally got it out of storage and attached it to the power source. It's been connected for 4 days. but wont run. [...]
I am disabled and suffer with chronic pain in my spine. I have had so many surgeries, and so many disappointments that I finally came to the realization that there were just some limitations that I had to learn to live with. One of those was running the vacuum cleaner. This may seem like a small feat to some, but when you live with chronic pain, even the smallest tasks can be overwhelming. We also have pets (which are very therapeutic), and also very hairy. We had purchased a very expensive, popular Vacuum cleaner we saw advertised on television, hoping that it would make this chore easier for me.(The model we chose was for households with pets, therefore we did pay more.) The Vacuum cleaner itself was a great product, however, it still took me hours to vacuum the house because I could only do a little bit at a time before having to sit down and wait for the pain to subside before starting again. It was so frustrating for me.
However, We are in the auction business so we find all kinds of neat gadgets. When my husband saw the Roomba Red, he was just thinking I'd like it because I'm the "Gadget Queen". Little did he know that this wonderful little machine would be a GREAT tool for me. I no longer had to spend hours vacuuming my house, and no more dealing with the pain associated with it. What a joy! I even did a test. I used the Roomba in a small area, both on carpet and on tile. Then I went back over the same area's with my expensive vacuum cleaner and was amazed that the Roomba had done such a great job, that the "other" vacuum had nothing to pick up.
Unfortunately, a few days ago, my poor little Roomba Red passed away (because it came to us used, we have no way of knowing how old it was, or how much it was used). I was heart broken. I finally drug out the old vacuum cleaner, and slowly, painfully made my way through the house. It was almost depressing!
You can believe me when I say that I am saving my pennies so that as soon as I can, I will replace the Roomba and go back to enjoying clean carpet and tile with no pain. Thank you for a wonderful product!

I received my Roomba Red for Christmas in 2005. I absolutely LOVE it! I can't imagine going back to a regular vacuum for everyday cleanings. I run Roomba in 1 or 2 rooms a day and by the end of the week, my whole house has been vacuumed twice. This little machine does a BIG job!

I got a Roomba Red for Christmas and I love it. I don't have time to vacuum my house so I let my robot do it while I am at school. It works great.

Get one! It works! And - it's amusing to watch, if you have nothing else to do. The best part is that it really cleans all by itself.
I received "Red" for Christmas. I love it! I have guests for the holidays and do not have time to drag out the vacuum. "Red" is so convenient and does such a great job. I can not believe the time he has saved me today. I would love another one for my upstairs. One of the features I like is how it goes to the base and recharges when it is "tired". I wish I could have one of those for my body. If you want something that will make you life a lot more pleasurable and restful I recommend this product. It is so easy to clean and my cats love to sit and watch it.

I have had Roomba Red for about 2-3 years now and its amazing how a robot can clean so well. It doesn't miss a thing and I have never had a problem with it. Cleaning and light maintenance takes minutes.

I bought my Little Red about a year and a half ago. I really did not expect that much from it, but I had been in an accident, and was not able to clean my apartment as much as I use to. I will say from the first day I used it I was amazed at what a job it did. I use to vacuum once a week, but now, Little Red does it 3 times a week and the place has never been cleaner. Also he goes places, like under the bed that I had never gone. You could say that he goes to places that no man has gone before, sorry Captain Kirk. But really, I could not be happier with the machine. In fact, that Christmas, I gave them out as gifts, and have received nothing but praise on what a great job they do. To prove how good they are, I took my upright vacuum and did the living room rug, then let Little Red go over it. My friends could not believe the cat hair and dirt it picked up, right after they had seen me vacuum the rug. I am now looking at the workshop model. Thank you iRobot!
