Spitz just arrived today. After a few hours charge, it was into the kitchen to clean my white tile floor. It easily fit under the kickplate and the dirty spots I thought it left were really sticky items that had glued themselves into the grooves on the tile surface. I'm lovin' Spitz! I'll try not to criticize so much, just let Spitz do its thing. It may be tricky to figure out how to clean my great room but with two virtual walls and a little determination, I think Spitz and I are up to the challenge.

We use Nu Nu every week after the grandchildren leave. He cleans up most messes, but has trouble with dried on foods. He also loses the charge and needs replacement batteries on a regular basis. It would be nice to have a timer to set up to use Nu Nu when we are not around. It would be nice for the unit to shut down when he is done instead of the constant annoying beeping to be loved. It would be nice if the memory wouldn't be lost when filling the tank so Nu Nu wouldn't continue to clean the same areas continuously. Parts also wear out quickly. This all being said, I do like Nu Nu. He has become a member of the family.

I have bought over 5 Romba's (3 households) and 1 Scooba and my complaint is the same with all of them. They don't last long, I'm lucky if they last a year without something going wrong. The company should stand behind their product longer and replace them if not abused (mine look like new). My problem is I'm to busy so they really help and they have me stuck.
On the recommend I always use to but now with the higher price tag and my problems. They aren't as busy as me and can do without the problems.

I have a very bad back, and so I decided if I wanted any type of clean floor, Scooba would be the ticket. I've had Scoobie for well over a year, and I have to say he's been fantastic. I have a large house w/ 85% travertine floors, so Scooba is perfect for me (wish I had 3 of them, tho'). I ended up buying extra batteries so I could keep him going, and going...and he does. Some have stated that Scooba may leave wet floors and/or dirty water on the floors. This is a sign that he's malfunctioning, but there is a simple remedy. My guy ended up doing this after about 9 mos. His filter was staying empty (very odd) when it used to be full of "stuff" he had picked up. I figured he had to be plugged somehow, so I found a long 12" flexible spiral brush (the brush portion on it is very small only about 1/4" wide, and 6 or 7 inches long) which I then bent in a gentle curve to match Scoobie's lines, and I use this to very gently "ream" all of Scooba's portals... and you wouldn't believe the accumulated wet gunk that can pull out when you do this! I've done this only twice now and he works as beautifully as before.. even the filter is accumulating debris like it used to when he was new. Maybe iRobot should include a small (but lengthy) brush-type tool like this because once he becomes obstructed, I can't see how he could possibly function like he's supposed to. Pretty fast and easy to do, really. I have a very long-haired, large dog (a Borzoi) and even tho' I pre-vacuum w/ Roomba, there will always be some hair that will accumulate in Scoobie's "body" over time, it can't help but happen. This type of add'l cleaning assistance on Scooba has been keeping my guy working in top form, and when he gets a good cleaning like this.. which takes no time at all... he goes happily on his way just as good as new and doing his usual fabulous job. Hope this helps. :)

I just got Scooba today and he is already doing his job. I live in my boyfriend's house, which he rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina. He did a beautiful job refinishing the original floors and now I can keep them looking good with Scoobers' help. I have two dogs and a boyfriend who continues to rebuild our beautiful city. Keeping them fed is a chore for a law student...cleaning up after them is a whole other issue. Scooba is my new favorite weapon in the war on grime. :)The Clorox solution smells great too! The only problem I have found is, like old school mopping, there are streaks left behind on the high-gloss hardwood floors. The next generation Scooba should have a buffing system in it to prevent this. Until then, I will be extremely happy with Scoobers...even if I have to buff the floors a little after he is done.

I am a busy, employed professional, wheelchair user with two beagles and a cat. My home is was built at the end of WWII and has concrete floors, common in the desert southwest. I bought a Dirtdog because of the low price and concrete floors and was so pleased by its performance I bought a Scooba two weeks later. I am delighted with both robots, my floors have never looked better. I have little time or inclination for housework, and being able to run the robots allows me to maintain my floors nicely. My housekeeper loves it that all she has to do is sweep or dustmop in the areas like corners where the dust dog does not reach, and then to damp mop the floors to get any dust dislodged during sweeping and dusting. I love these robots, they allow me to maintain a floor that otherwise gets a lot of dirt and debris tracked in onto it, in a neat and clean state.

I previously tried out a Roomba, and I probably would have kept it had the power supply not died on me 2 days in. I decided to give the Scooba a try, seeing as though 90% of my condo is hardwood.

This machine is decent, but given the advances that have been made with the Roomba, I was kind of hoping that they would have transferred over to the Scooba. The charging base is not automatic...you have to plug/unplug the unit to charge it. Also, there is no timing mechanism, so you have to be around in order for the scooba to start working.

Aside from that, it actually cleaned the floors pretty good, so long as any messes it cleaned were on the surface. Anything that is dried or sticky doesn't get fully cleaned.

I found that the tank size, not the battery life, was somewhat limiting. Whenever the tank would run empty, and I refilled it, the scooba almost seemed to lose its memory...and it would go right back to the areas it just cleaned.

All in all, if you're using this for a fairly small space, then it might be ideal. Just keep in mind that it's not as advanced as the Roomba models, so I didn't find it all that convenient.

I love this thing!! What a time saver! My only gripe is that sometimes it's hard to get the tank off. I don't know if I have a defective one or what. (that's why I gave it 4 stars) Otherwise, it's awesome! After every use, I'm still amazed that my floor is clean and I've had it for almost a year.

I got my Scooba Model 340 (identical with 380) [...] about a year ago, they had it on special. I was skeptical at first, I have marble floors and it was leaving streaks. I used to wipe them with a dry cotton mop sometimes, it beats moping the entire house of 4400 sq. feet...It worked great for a while, then it stopped working after about 6 months of regular use, so they replaced it for me under warranty. The replacement model (also 340) DOES NOT LEAVE ANY STREAKS !!! Floors are completely clean and dry, you can walk on them after 1 minute! Plus the battery lasts for 3 to 3 and a half hours with one charge! I bought an extra battery thinking it can't last to clean the entire living area at once, guess what? It does! Last Saturday it cleaned for 3.5 hours before the power went out. About 1200 sq. feet! All I had to do is change the solution every 40 - 50 min. At first it used to work only for 1 to 1.5 hours with one charge. But after so many regular uses, I guess the battery starts holding more and more power, I can't explain it. If they come up with a different model with a larger tank that holds more water I will definetely buy it!It only gets stuck under one sofa I have - which is too low - so I have to push it out, the rest it fits under all the furniture in the house.I also bought the Roomba 560 recently, and I love it! Too bad the lighthouses and the virtual walls do not integrate with both robots. I have to use them separately. It's still the best investment I ever made!

I have a back injury that limits my ability to mop and vacuum. As such, my huge kitchen floor has not been cleaned very often over the last several years. I am SOOOOO excited that I now have a spotless kitchen floor!!! I ran it 3 times over the entire floor because it was so dirty, but I can now wipe up a simple spill and not have a dark handprint on the paper towel. My only regret is that I didn't have this when my kids were crawling around. Kids, BUY this for your mom; she'll love it, too.

On our 2nd Scooba -- the 1st after 2 uses inexplicably wouldn't turn off its Check Brush light. Called tech support and consulted the usual websites -- 2 months later wound up with a replacement Scooba that, so far, is working fine.

Once the Roomba preps an area, the Scooba does a good job cleaning it, given enough time. It does tend to leave the tile damp, though.

I really like having the scooba (5800) to clean my floors, however the battery life is bad. It only seems to last 30 min, barely enough to do my kitchen & dining room, which is only 17 X 10 combined, 177 sq ft, it doesnt seem to clean everywhere. I may have a bad battery, waiting on Support to get back to me. Only had it 3 months. Gets stuck on wires/cords. Also, it's loud. Otherwise it runs great, what it does clean, it cleans well. Would recommend allowing other solutions to be used, not just Clorox. So while it's not perfect, it saves me time & effort doing it myself and it's a neat little robot to have. Newer versions are probably better.

I have 8 small dogs. my husband and I both work long hours. there is a lot of traffic in our kitchen where we use the scooby the most. it is either not putting out water. or not picking up the dirty water and soaking the floor. leaving, you guessed it. dirty water on the floor. now it is worse than before. i really was looking forward to having a product that would do the mopping as I have a bad back and it is hard for me to mop. we have only had it since christmas and after the first few times of using it, it started acting up. it is a big disappointment for me. hopefully someday you will get the bugs out of it and make a better product.

Ok, I have both the iRobot 570 and the Scooba 380, and I absolutely love the scooba best! It is amazing, does an excellent job, even if I don't vacuum first. I have 2 big dogs and 4 sons, we have a great room with hardwood, and it does an amazing job. It is easy to clean out and refill. I highly recommend it, it will save your back and let you get your laundry done while it cleans!

We use Scooba daily in our bedroom, living room, & kitchen. We have multiple dogs, so Scooba is a real time saver for us. We love that it cleans under our bed, as our dogs seem to enjoy spending time under there. There are only 2 negatives we have found with our Scooba:
1. The cleaning solution options are limiting
2. It does not dry the floor like I anticipated
With that said, I would buy other products providing services such as our Scooba does. Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase.

I don't sweep! I vacuum and don't like the dirty mop which I washed after each use. I have had this unit since March 2008 and wanted to wait to write a review. I can tell you it is well worth its weight in gold. This is as necessary as a dishwasher, if you don't have someone cleaning your house for you weekly. Get this little man and he will do the job very well. The best guy around. Love him!

I have a very large kitchen with tiled floor. The Scooba cleans better than with a mop and bucket which just left the floor dirtier - no matter how often I changed the mop water. I found that if I divide the room up into two smaller areas it cleans much better. The charge won't last long enough to do the entire area (14X20) at one time. The unit charges quickly and then I set it for the other side. I have only had the Scooba a short time but I love it. It doesn't take any longer to clean and store than rinsing and cleaning out a mop bucket...probably less.

This is definatley a time saver and I do love it but I do have a complaint. I am on my 2nd machine and on both my tile and wood floors it picks up only a small amount of the solution it puts down. Not the suction it shows on this website. I still find her helpful with my busy lifestyle.

I own both a Roomba and a Scooba. They are great help. I leave them to their tasks and I can invest my time doing one of the many other duties of the house or just taking a break. The robots are in charge of the floors.

The Scooba leaves the floors clean though damp. The one shortcoming is cleanup after use. The tank has to be rinsed, brushes and filters cleaned, etc. It takes about 15 minutes. My trick is to leave the thorough cleaning for after everything is done. In between rooms, I just dump the dirty water and put more water and cleaning solution.

my battery is dead after 15 months and about 30 cleaning cycles - it's supposed to last 10 times as long and of course the warranty just ran out --grrrr . I did everything as instructed in the manual.

Scooba is amazing. Even better than Roomba. She will get stuck on transitions between floor surfaces, ie- tile to hardwood, but lighthouses can help with this. I can't say enough good things about her. She's cleaning my kitchen right now - and I'm at work.

I started out very excited about Scooba, but my enthusiasm has dampened over time, along with my damp floors. At this point, I'd call Scooba a "floor wetter" not a "floor washer". It soaks my hardwood floors - so much that I dry the floors with towels after its done. It also has a weird tendency to clean some parts of a room over & over again, while missing other parts completely. It's still better than having to mop everything myself, but it's definitely not as hassle-free as I had hoped.

My first Scooba's pump quit working while under warranty and had to be replaced. After approximately three months the replacement started malfunctioning. It will run fine as long as it does not encounter an object but if it does bump into something it will immediately stop and the red power light will come on. This only happens if it hits something. I am extremely disappointed with the reliability of this product.

Half of my floors are tile. Mopping just spread the crud and dog hair around and I hated hand scrubbing them. After I hurt my back this spring, I couldn't hand scrub. I decided to buy a Scooba 380 to help out the basic Roomba I had received for Christmas. Saying Scooba was confusing in our Scuba Diving household, so it was dubbed Roomba 2, which was soon shortened to R-2.

I was amazed at how black the grey water was the first several times I used it. We run it every day in one of our three large tiled areas. There are hallways, a center island, and small bathrooms with which R-2 must contend. He does a great job in most areas, including under the edge of the cabinets.

We have two long haired dogs and live in the country, so there is always dust and dog hair. Scooba gets it all, except the corners. I prewipe the corners about once a week, to capture the fuzz and spider condos that gather out of R-2's reach.

The tile feels so good on my bare feet now, because it is always clean.

My son named our robot Jack. Jack works so hard and well that the gratefulness you feel as your floors are being cleaned make you want to say "Thank you" but then you remember "It's a robot." Jack vacuums the crumbs under the table after meals and washes the floors. It is actually nice that the brushes are soft because hair that gets around the rollers comes off easily. The thing that amazes me most however is the high technology in the robot yet they dummied it down into a simple one page instructions with pictures. I have software and all sorts of high tech equipment I own but don't use because I couldn't learn how without reading a manual. The irobot I didn't have to! If you're thinking about getting one. Get the scooba..it vacuums too..and even cleaned up sticky juice. Awesome! Now if only they make one to climb the walls in my shower...

bought the lower end scooba first and it would run for hours not getting anything done. [...] return it and then purchased the 380 which is supposed to cover 800 sqaure feet. the battery lasts long enough, but i have to fill the tank about 4 times for a 4oo sqaure foot area. it is easier to just mop my floor. if it wasn't so loud i could run it while we are awake and my twins were playing. too loud to run while awake, needs too much attention to run while asleep or away. i had purchased several accesories (with the first robot) because i've heard how much time it takes irobot to get accesories at times. also i was assured that with a couple of additional walls and the most expensive model it would work like a dream. I had to return my scooba after I saw that it did not clean the tiles and I am not talking about grout, but simple tile stains from juice or footprints. The scooba is easy to set up; however, it is difficult to see which function is doing until the end and the surprise is that it did not clean areas and left hairs and dirt behind.

I must say that I was a very big skeptic when I initially purchased the Scooba, but after having a great experience with the Rommba, I figured I would give it a try. Since the first use, the Scooba has exceeded all expectations.

I purchased the Scooba to accompany a Roomba 560 in a busy house with a constantly shedding Border Collie and 2,500 sq. ft. of white marble tile.

I have scheduled the Roomba to clean every other day, picking up all of the dog hair and dirt. While on average I'll have the Scooba mop twice per week and sometimes more often in the kitchen. (The lighthouses work great to confine the Scooba to one area.)

After the end of a cleaning cycle I am always curious to see just how dirty the floors were. I sometimes pour out the dirty solution into a plastic pitcher to see just what the Scooba picked up. No matter how clean the floors looked before, the cleaning solution is always filthy. I actually swept and mopped the whole house one time to see if I could get the best of Scooba, and sure enough Scooba picked up even more dirt and filth.

I have been so delighted by Scooba, that I purchased one as a gift for my parents. You won't be disappointed.

I decided to invest a Scooba because my kitchen is constantly dirty due to 2 young children, 1 dog and a husband who avoids particularly keeping kitchen floor clean.
I work long hours, having Scooba to wash the kitchen floor once a week while my husband is out for his ball night, give me time for the children, and it's easy to use after first couple tries.
It's a good investment, hopefully it can last for few years...

We have cross-cut travertine thru-out our 4,000 sq ft house, (excl.the bedrooms) and I hate to see it look less than clean and beautiful. I use the recommended non-bleach solution made by Clorox: it is mild yet effective on travertine, and leaves a pleasant scent. Since the travertine areas are so plentiful in this house, I found it helpful to use the virtual walls and allow Scooba to concentrate on much smaller areas, e.g. kitchen, breakfast/family room, hallways, entry, bathrooms, etc. He's much more effective in his "reasoning" this way, I've found, then if I put him to use on several larger areas at a time (where he seems to over-repeat and/or exclude portions). This way, I'll check in and see how he's doing, and then move him to another area when he's completed each task thoroughly. I can get at least two (if not three) fairly good-sized areas done before the power light starts to turn red. I don't wait until he's totally run out of power: I pick him up, throughly clean the brushes and filters, rinse the dirty tank (and stow it separately in the short term if it still has cleaning solution left in it and I'm going to continue) and proceed to charge him up. It usually does not take the full three hours to recharge, and I've run him again in under two hours of charging in most cases. He's only gotten stuck once, between a cabinet and chair, so it is useful to remove lighter weight chairs and stools so he can have more free reign to move about and "plan" his cleaning task. I have two large long-haired dogs who are in and out all day, and we fairly "abuse" the kitchen floor with cooking and general usage, so Scooba has been a life-saver for these more trafficked areas, especially. Because of the dogs, however, I do pre-vacuum using a very low floor attachment, and Scooba still finds debris and hair to pick up! The first time I used Scooba was in the Master bath..the floor came out so clean, my feet squeaked when I walked across it afterwards! I was so impressed, I couldn't wait to do the rest of the areas, and have been equally as happy: the floors feel like mirrors when I walk across them in bare feet after Scooba is finished. Scooba is so easy to clean, as the parts pop out and go back in so effortlessly. I'll undoubtedly get an extra battery and charger so I can keep him rolling on days when I need to get all of the floors done at one time ...right now I just do certain sections at a time, (such as the kitchen), which I do sometimes daily...and I have Scooba in use several times a week cleaning somewhere. I have a several year old Discovery Series Roomba, and its 2 virtual walls do indeed work with Scooba, so it was a nice surprise that I didn't have to buy extra vw's. Thicker area rugs also keep him at bay, so I've also used those as "walls" to cordon off hallways, e.g. and he will not cross onto carpet, happily. I am constantly amazed at how well Scooba cleans. His only drawback is that he can't do corners or get really close to wall edges... or tight/small spaces, but considering the amount that he does do, I'm happy enough with that and can deal easily with what little he cannot do perfectly. He is a fabulous time and effort saver: To have this amount of travertine done constantly by us or someone else is very physically demanding or too expensive to have done as often as I like, so Scooba is my new best buddy. I'm so impressed with iRobot, that I've also ordered a Dirt Dog for the patios! I am hoping, though, that iRobot can come up with a tinier version of the Scooba and Roomba to get the smaller spaces done...like behind furniture that is more difficult to move...and wouldn't it be great to have one be able to scrub around and behind the toilets? Now THAT would be the ultimate irobot! :D

She (The Scooba) is a big time saver for sure... We have 3 dogs, 2 Siberian Huskies and an Australian Shepherd, The Huskies love to dig no matter what the weather and I do not know how they do it, but they manage to bring half the yard in with them when they come charging happily into the house and Mrs. Mopit (The Scooba)cleans it all up for us why we are off doing more enjoyable things.
Only bad thing is from time to time she needs priming, but that is a good trade for all the time and labor she saves us.

I live in grand central station. People always coming and going. This helps keep my floors spotless. I just wish it would not get stuck all of the time. This is frustrating. Needs to do a better job of not skipping sections of the floor. And beebing all the time, because it is stuck. Does not avoid rugs. But it beats the heck out of mopping by hand.

I just adore my Steve. I have had to have him replaced, as something about him just didn't like me, but SteveII is wonderful. I am obsessive about stuff on the kitchen floor, and I have a long-haired dog, a four year old son, a cockatiel,(and her seeds), a squirrel, and a dirty-footed husband. At first, I watched him, (the Scooba, not the dirty-footed husband!), to make sure he got the whole tile floor. After he had earned my trust, I just let him go once a day, and he gobbles up everything. I do let my Rosie (Roomba) run around the rooms just ahead of him, so he just has to mop, and she does the sweeping. They are a great team, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. (Except an upgraded model).

After being so impressed with Roomba, I bought Scooba the next week. Scooba is not as intelligent as Roomba, but does a good job scrubbing my hard-to-clean bathroom tile floor. My tiles are white and have tiny holes in them that give the appareance of natural stones. They need to be clean with a tiny brush. I was so impressed when I empty Scooba's Tank and realized that she picked up all the dirt because the water was black. When I first used her, I was frustrated because she kept telling me that I need to check her Tank. Then, I went to the Website and read the "HELP" section that told me to make sure that my battery is well placed, so that the Tank can be properly close. Otherwise, Scooba will give the same signal about checking her tank. Now, I love her as much as Roomba. These two Maids make my busy life so much easier.

We have approx 2500 square feet of dark wood (Bloodwood) floors that require cleaning almost daily and prior to the Scooba 380 purchase had to be cleaned in a 3 foot by 3 foot section. Needless to say, they stayed dirty and marked up almost all the time. The Scooba 380, our first purchase with iRobot and part of my wifes Christmas gift, has changed all that. It's a wonderful machine and does a great job, but is not perfect, but I'm sure it will get better. It will not get up anything that is ground into the floor such as a drop of jam that my kids have stepped on 20 times, but to get those I just go over the floor when it is running with a small brush and just scrub the spots for a few seconds. Our floors now are clean and look great almost all of the time. The machine does require a fair amount of upkeep including cleaning the filters, brushes, rubber squeegies and water passages and the dirty water tank always fills before the cleaner tank is empty. It also leaves a fair amount of water under the machine where ever it stops either for tank draining or " I'm stuck." My other minor disappointment is the lighthouses or vitual walls of the Roomba and Scooba are not completely compatable. The Scooba vitual walls also work for the Roomba, but the Roomba's do not work on the Scooba and the Scooba's VWs operate on a timer mode with an automatic shut off, which we sometimes forget and find the Scooba in the wrong room. The Roomba VWs operate only when the Roomba is turned on, but they will not work with the Scooba. [...]

I've had my Scooba 380 for a couple of weeks now and it is a great maintanance tool for the 3800 sq ft of light golden unfilled travertine tile in my home.As some may know this tile dirties quickly and requires constant maintance without harsh chemicals or bleach. I'm lovin it!!

We have hardwood floors and it does great. Took it to our church and it cleaned the foyer in minutes. It's easy to sue, easy to clean and refill. The one complaint I have is that the battery lasts about 1 hour. And then it takes about an hour to recharge. When it's time to clean, I don't want to recharge evey hour.

I have 2 businesses, 3 teenagers and 2 large inside dogs. Everyone is running different directions and we don't have much time to clean, the time we do have at home. . . well, who wants to spend it cleaning?!?! I am able to run the scooba daily in just a few minutes time for set up and same for dumping and cleaning the machine. I still have to get the edges/corners every week or so, but the main floor wasn't usually even mopped but once every week or two, so this is just great! I have tile in the kitchen and entry and it does a fabulous job on that, I have wood floors everywhere else on the main floor and it does wonderful there also, although I usually only run it on the wood once a week and my roomba on the wood floors daily :-)

We use scoobe to clean tile floors. It works great! The floors are so clean after scooba finishes you could eat off them. I actually have taken a white towel and rubbed it on the floor after scooba was finished and there was absolutely no dirt on the towel.

I bought the Scooba at the same time as the base model Roomba. Its amazing! It really does clean the floors very well and the water that you pour away is an astonishing shade of mucky brown. I think its IQ is a bit higher than Minnie the Roomba as it seems to scuttle about the room more purposefully than Minnie and copes better with rugs etc. Its a little less entertaining to be honest. Slight downsldes are having to clean it out after use and it certainly is noisy. But it is so effective and such a time saver that these are easily overlooked. That cat hates it unfortunately

We purchased our first scooba last month. Since then we've used it on laminate, hardwood, tile floors in our large home. What we discovered shocked us! Our floors are cleaner than ever. We had to inform our maid service in our home that their mopping was insufficient, and since we got the scooba we rely on it, with the effective cleaning solution to clean the floors like never before. We use it everyday, and the only part to give us problems is the suction port, but we easily ordered a replacement. And we ordered a second scooba today to help cover more rooms at once. Great invention!

The Scooba is definitely worth the investment. It is easy and I can truly say that I have mopped only once or twice since buying it in Dec 2006. The only downside for me is that I cannot leave it plugged in all the time, so by the time I think "oh, I should get it out to clean" I then have to plan to charge it overnight. It generally will not get into the corners, but otherwise is a fantastic device that I recommend frequently.

I have a large dining room and entry way that is all hard wood. I have lived in this house 4 yrs and NEVER scrubbed it. I use a lot of area rugs to protect the wood, I also vacuum it alot. I did let my ROOMBA clean it first. Then let SCOOBA go. What a wonderful job. I did watch SCOOBA to see if it went all over. It was excellent. Just traces of water in a few spots. NOT A PROBLEM!!!
I did use the white vinegar and water as my cleaning product.
Any new user needs to read the instructions well and follow them. It is a little time comsuming, but getting to know anyone (ha ha) is time consuming. the next time will be an easy thing because Hannah and I know each other now.
If you have a ROOMBA: the virtual walls will also work on SCOOBA.

The Scuba 350 is the second IRobot I own.
About the Scuba, I love the results after cleaning, and time savings these robo-tools offer.
I also have an older rumba thats about a year old that still runs very well, and is one of the best investments I have ever made.
Aside from cleaning the robots once a week, and adding fluid to the Scuba, they are maintanance free.
The two robots clean magnificently, and help my wife and recent new mother keep the floors in the cleanest condition for our new born child.
Vertualy no effort for a clean sanitized floor, and clean carpet. Any one who is questioning weather to get one of these fine products, should try one, and they will be convinced.

I used my scooba a few times a week in my kitchen only and LOVED it, however, after only 13 months of use it broke. If someone has a lot of money to buy a new scooba every year than I would recommend it. Not feasible for the average consumer.

Used to clean slate tile in hall, kitchen and bath. Easy use, inexpensive to use because I use vinegar and water solution. It does get hung up under the cabinet occasionally but the main negative is the beam imaginary wall accessory used to contain the scooba doesn't seem to work. But that is a small item because it is such a time saver and I clean more often and couldn't live w/out it.

Does everything it claims except my floor is damp. Not a big deal, it dries, and I stay out of the room while scooba runs. I use it mainly in the kitchen (and 3 bathrooms and foyer and hall) on ceramic tile floor that has a bit of depth but scooba has never gotten stuck. Does fine under cabinet edges and refrigerator too. Avoids step/cliff - fun to watch. My floors feel AND look cleaner. It even cleans the dried hairspray from the bathroom floor that accumulates. The prep work and the cleanup of the scooba are quick and painless. No more achy back and knees from cleaning the floor! And the smell of the Clorox solution is clean, but not strong, not fruity (YAY - does not bother my allergies!)[...]

This is a great product! I was a little hesitant given the price and some of the mixed reviews on priming issues - but we followed the directions, and it has worked great right out of the box. We have both oak hardwood floor and rougher tiles - and two larger dogs. Before we would have perpetual tracks from the dog door to the window and back again. Scooby has done a great job of cleaning those up - we only had to do a few minor touch ups on a couple spots in the lower grout lines that didn't come out. Our floors are MUCH cleaner, and I have more time to do other less tedious tasks - and they get cleaned when they need it, not just when I have the time and energy to do it. Now I want to get a Roomba too - and my daughter has decided she wants one of each of the other robots! Please invent a stair-cleaning robot now!

My floors used to take me 3 hours to clean every 4 days (high traffic and a dog running in & out of the house constantly left me with a very dirty floor)...needless to say I was desperate to have my Sundays mornings back to do what I wanted to do. I bought the Scooba 380 since almost our entire house is hardwood. I was quite pleased with Scooby in small areas (hallways & tiled bathrooms). But I found that in large rooms it didn't quite clean the floor as well. It seemed that it wasn't able to go over every area as often as I would have liked. Because of that I run Scooby everyday, and this seems to remedy that problem. I wish Scooby would have a longer run cycle for larger rooms. Other than that I recommend Scooby to everyone. I Love Robots!

when i first cleaned my kitchen floor, i was disgusted at how dirty the water was! we have 2 kids, 2 dogs & it's a high-traffic room. i had to use it twice because the floor was so dirty. Just got my Scooba & had a hard time getting to work. [...]. Used it in my foyer and then in the utility room. Was surprised how dirty the water was. I wish it could get into corners and into smaller places though. It takes quite a bit of prep, especially after use. When I empty it, quite a bit of water is till trapped as I can see when I turn it over and I'm hoping the water won't start to smell. I'm happy I have it though. As for my roomba, I had one and then sent it back because a new one was out. I wanted the new one. Now I see there is another new one! Oh, well. Roomba works great but you do have to rearrange your room if you want to get into all the spots. Behind my sofa is still a manual clean though. Hopefully, as I use both more and more they'll be fine. I've used the scooba today for the first time and my roomba for the second time. The lighthouse for the roomba seems to malfunction once in a while. I'd like to buy an extra battery for both, but I don't think it's possible for the roomba. The battery seems to be closed up inside. I'll look into extra battery though for scooba; maybe while looking will find something for the roomba too. All in all, I like them both.

This product is pretty good. It is much easier to take apart and maintain then the discovery series roomba. It didn't leave much liquid on the ground, and runs fairly quietly.

My biggest complaints are that it gets stuck under my fridge door. It doesn't get the crooks and crannies. In the house I'm moving into I will have hardwood floors, I'd be worried that I would have to fish my scooba out from underneath my bed.

I have had my scooba for over a year. It was fantastic, but it is not built for the long haul. I just purchased my second replenishing kit. I can't understand why you have to constantly purchase new tires and front wheel. First, the batteries bite. I spent over 100 on new batters and an extra charger. The customer service gave conflicting answers to the batteries. Now I am told I need two batteries, one for each tank of solution, then you must recharge. Good thing I only have two rooms to do. Now, it wont run for more than a few seconds before the red service light comes on. I thoroughly cleaned everything, hoping maybe some dust was interfering with the sensors. NOPE. And, it sometimes decides. I don't feel like picking up the solution. It finishes, you walk in to pick it up, and your socks are soaked from the totally wet floor. Which was not as bad as it not working more than a few seconds. Not acceptable for something only ran twice a week.

Like I said, great idea, but don't spend that much money if you don't plan on buying a new one every year or two.

I have returned 2 Scoobas, bought a third one (hoping for the best) and finally gave it to a friend with a much smaller house. The idea is great and I REALLY wanted it to work, but it doesn't work for us. We have a 4,000 sf house that is all hardwood and tile. If the floor is uneven, she leaves streaks of muddy water behind. She doesn't clean "textured" linoleum (laundry room). I'd buy another one if it ever got to "industrial" use. I love the idea and it could save me hours of work each week if they could get the design right.

We have 2 children under the age of 3. We also have a dog that sheds constantly, and we live in a dusty area. Our house is busy to say the least. Hard floors take up about 85% of our home. Before the Scooba we were constanly cleaning our floors, but they never looked or stayed clean. We use Scooba Steve every day and our floors are spotless. We also purchased a spare batterry so we can run the Scooba as long as we want. I thank you Irobot. I also have a Roomba and am very happy with both products. If I were to compare my overall lifetime purchases to this day my Scooba 380 purchase would be my Best - "Excellent" purchase I have made thus far. I have a back problem and after sweeping and mopping my floors my back would give out. After purchasing Scooba 380 my life has changed no more back problems after doing my floor cleaning; and Scooba allows for me to have that extra time to finish my other household cleaning and getting me out of the cleaning mode earlier. the machine worked great when i first got it but now the battery life is only 5 minutes per charge and is aggravating when i'm in a hurry,also it's hard to open to remove battery every 5 minutes, i use a butter knife to open the unit.not worth the money versus the aggravation.

I am disappointed! My scooba never completes a clean cycle in an unobstructed area without several restarts, why, I'm not sure. Sometimes I cannot restart and sometimes it goes bezerk in wild spins, stops and starts, alarms and restarts.

We have two toddlers and two very big long haired dogs who not only shed alot they also bring in red clay. Our first floor is mainly white ceramic tile but by the time the kids and dogs are done it appears to be more orange than white. Before the scooba I would have to scrub and scrub to get the floors clean again but the scooba makes them white with ease. Having the scooba has given me the time to catch my breath and play with my children. It is the best invention ever!!!

I put it through its paces in several high traffic rooms. The first run came out of the machine like mud. It doesn't take up heavier dirt. Somewhat stiffer bristles would be my suggestion. Overall an excellent cleaning job though. I would recommend this highly.

I really do love this product. I have had some problems with it, however. I've had to return 2 in the past from malfunctions, and had to get the suction bulb(plunger)thingy in order fo my scooba to run recnetly. I was nervous that it was a permanent malfunction. But I'm up and running again and sure missed it while it wasn't running!!It saves me soooo much time when I want a clean floor and can't do it myself. With 3 dogs and light colored tile, my floor is always in need of a cleaning! It won't get the corners and it does need surpervision for when it gets stuck, but it's still a time saver. I have light colored ceramic tile and dogs. I used to dread mopping the floor because it never seemed to look that good when I finished.

Scooba is wonderful for me! I use scooba every day and after about three days my tile floors never looked as good, even new! The grout looks redone! Yes the tile is a little damp after Scooba completes, but is dry within 5/10 mins. I have Pine floors and tile floors. I have found that Scooba had a problem with my particular wood floors, it just could not get traction, but what it does with my tile floors is just amazing! My tile floors are always the ones that get the worse abuse as far as dirt and travel. Scooba once a day is all that is needed. Yes a little help around the edges is needed from time to time, but that is nothing to having to clean the entire amount. I have three fairly large rooms with tile. I start Scooba in a different one each day and that seems to keep every one of them in pretty much perfect shape. I do not even mind the few mins it takes to clean it up after each run.

I have four boys and it seems a mess follows them everywhere. Scooba saves me time and energy. I could spend up to two hours cleaning my hard floors. Now all I do is fill scooba and set it loose. I bought roomba and scooba for my wife's birthday. Our son had been born 6 mos. earlier, and she didn't like the idea of him crawling around on floors that weren't clean. I was a bit skeptical of how well they would actually clean and, in spite of the cost and the doubts in my mind, I thought I would give one a try. I am happy to report that the Roomba vacuums better than I do. So I bought a Scooba too. This is not quite as effective as the Roomba, and if the floors are really dirty, one pass with the Scooba is not enough. Don't expect a floor 'scrubber' here. The good news? The nature of these products means that the floors will never need scrubbing if they are cleaned frequently. Frequent cleaning is a reality with a robot floor cleaner; cleaning on a schedule, rather than when things 'look dirty' is the single greatest benefit about using robots in this capacity. The floors are always clean because the robots are always cleaning.

Both products require some level of preparation either before cleaning, after cleaning, or both.

With Roomba, you just empty the collection bin, clean out the filter, and maybe every other use, clean out the brushes.

With Scooba, you need to fill the tank with cleaner and water prior to using. After using, the dirty water tank, mesh screen filter,suction tube, and brush assembly all need to be flushed and cleaned.

With both, it is essential that that anything that might get caught in a vacuum cleaner be removed in the area you want cleaned. This includes small rugs, shoelaces, etc. Taking a bit of time to think about dividing the large floor level of your home into sections that Roomba can handle takes some trial and error. It is possible for Roomba to do the whole floor level of the average home, but sometimes using the 'virtual wall' in a strategic spot can make all the difference between mediocre and complete results.

Scooba is also loud (about 2 to 3 times as loud as Roomba). Watching TV is not a problem with Roomba (since you don't have to vacuum, may as well kick back!) but Scooba is a bit too loud. Thankfully, one can always set scooba cleaning as they head off for work in the morning.

Duct registers common in forced air heating and cooling systems are a big problem for Scooba. Typically I pull the register diffuser/damper out when I use the Scooba, as it invariably gets stuck on this during it's cleaning cycle. Roomba cannot do stairs. Neither can get into corners or right up to the edge of the wall, but corners and the edges of the floors don't typically get a lot of foot traffic.

Once you have used these a few times, you will know how to prep the area to ensure a successful robot cleaning session.

Lastly, I want to emphasize the fact that these are legitimate replacements for your mop and vacuum other than the occasional edge and stair cleaning.

I have a large house with lots of wooden floors. I decided if I could only get one product, that I should get the Scooba. (I get down & scrub on on my knees, then hand dry with a towel.) After seeing how well the Scooba mopped and cleaned our floors I just had to go ahead and get the Roomba too!!It was that wonderful. I swept the kitchen floor really well before putting Scooba to work, and I was amazed at what it still picked up. (Very fine cat hairs for one.) This product is well worth the money. (Sure, you may have to do some spot cleaning over time near baseboards or corners...but Whew, that's nothing for the overall cleaning it does!) Can't wait to put the Roomba to work on the carpeted areas. I plan to let Roomba sweep every day, and can't imagine how much cleaner the floors will be on a regular basis. If you are thinking about getting the Scooba, believe me it is well worth it. It really does an amazing job, and surpassed my expectations. Thank you irobot!!!!!!!!

I have MS and this is a life saving. I couldn't get down to scrub my floors and if I would use a mop I would end up falling. This has made me feel more independent. THANK YOU.
I am amazed at how well it cleans and how it knows where it's cleaned.
I have both the vacumn for my carpets and this for my floors and love them both. No one realizes how hard it is to keep your home clean when you are disabled.
They are both members of my family now. Hazel scrubs and Rosie vacumns.
I have three shih tzus and it pickes my any hair and the animals just sit and watch it. They all get along real well
