iRobot Mirra™ 530 Full Specifications

Take the work out of cleaning your pool with the iRobot Mirra™ 530 Pool Cleaning Robot. Mirra uses enhanced robotic technology to deep clean pool surfaces and water, removing leaves, hair and dirt, as well as algae, pollen and bacteria as small as two microns.

Removes Large Debris And Small Particles From Pool Surfaces And Water
Designed to clean any type of in-ground pool, Mirra 530 lifts dirt, algae and bacteria off the pool floors and walls with a PVC scrubbing brush, including at the water line where oils and bacteria can build up. Just drop it in, press the CLEAN button and Mirra is off to work, pumping and filtering 70 gallons of water per minute – that's over a gallon a second.

  • Self-Contained Vacuum, Pump And Filter System: Mirra requires no installation, so it works without suction lines or other modifications to existing systems.
  • Active Scrubbing Brush: The PVC scrubbing brush is actively geared to the motors of the robot. This 4:1 gear ratio provides active agitation to the pool surface as the robot moves, allowing Mirra to scrub and lift dirt, algae and bacteria off the pool floor and walls.
  • Pool Types: Mirra cleans any type of in-ground pool.
  • PVA Wheels: These wheels give Mirra sponge-like traction on slick pool surfaces like ceramic or vinyl.

Offers Complete Pool Coverage, Cleaning Floor To Waterline And Everywhere In Between
Mirra 530 uses enhanced robotic technology, including iAdapt® Nautiq Responsive Cleaning Technology For Pools to size up the approximate dimensions of the pool, then chooses the optimum cleaning cycle for maximum efficiency. Mirra provides the most thorough cleaning by making multiple passes over the entire inside of the pool, navigating obstacles and climbing walls and stairs.
  • Gyro Sensor: Detects when and in what direction Mirra has turned, allowing the robot to change direction and prevent the 60-foot floating power cord from getting tangled.

Makes Cleaning The Pool Easier Than Ever
Mirra 530 is the easiest pool cleaning robot to use and maintain, offering single push-and-play operation with the iRobot CLEAN button. When the job is done, two quick-drain valves on the bottom of the robot allow for fast draining and lightweight handling. It's easy to clean the debris out of Mirra's two, top-load filter canisters. Simply lift out the basket and open the trap door.
  • Optional Large Debris Canisters: Choose large debris canisters for heavier pool clean-ups, including those in the fall.
  • Optional Carrying Caddy: This makes it even easier to move Mirra from the pool to its storage area.

    Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

The Mirra 530 does a much better job than the pool guy ever did so for that I would say it was worth the year's worth of service this robot cost relative to what I was paying him.

With that said, the overall robustness of the design is lacking in some areas. Specifically, I would prefer it if the brush assembly were more solidly attached. As designed it uses a spring-loaded brush that mates between two floating spacers(?). Over the 2 years I used it the brush got looser to the point where one end was moving around and wearing down the mounting hole. Today the brush basically just falls out. The robot doesn't do anything when turned on except sit in one spot while pushing water with its fan. I can officially say my robot's chassis is worn out. Seems pretty bad for the actual robot housing to be the failing element and not the brush, wheels, filter or some other easily replacable item.

One other thought ... you should consider adding Wifi messaging to the unit (maybe the power supply?) to notify when it is done cleaning. Maybe it could also have it provide some interesting data about the cleaning cycly (runtime, whether it thought the pool was clean/dirty, any maintenance recommedations).

    Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

I recieved this unit today. I was very excited about the cleaning prospects of this unit. I owned a Verro for 5 years. Great unit.

So I setup the Mirra. soaked the wheels for 15min. dropped it in the pool, and started it. Seemed to be working OK. Left to do other work around the house.
I came back and it was off. So I left it for a while and came back later as the pool was not clean, Tried starting it up and it would not start. Tried everything no luck. So what do I do? It arrived today and now it's dead! Must say I am very disappointed. This is no where near the quality of the Verro 500.

    Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

Cleans our 15x30 pool. Easy to drop in pool and turn on. Repairs are much easier than other types of pool cleaners. This unit seems to be built to allow easy access to change moyor, wheels, and other parts that eventually wear out. So repairs can be a DIY project, however, parts are hard to find and they are very expensive. Other robots use only 1 mesh filter bags that can be found locally for about $30. The Irobot uses 2 filter baskets that cost $99 each plus S&H and/or tx. Does not remove dustlike particles from pool floor. Basket must be cleaned after every use and if you use a little too much water pressure (needed to clean filter material) it tears the filter from the filter frame. Covers my entire deep end but rarely ever cleans the shalloe 1/3 of the pool unless I direct it with a pole. Never cleans my steps. I am truly sorry I opted to save a money and changed to this unit. My old Aquabot Brav did a much better job of keeping my pool clean. It did cost more money to purchase and was more difficult to repair but it was worth the difference and the parts were readily available amd more reasonably priced.

      Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

The cord has started to tangle after 3 months. Not terrible, but not as advertised. THe unit is no better or worse than my previous Pentair (Letro Platinum actually), but my biggest beef is that it doesn't do anything to capture surface pollen and floaters. I still have a lot of cleaning to do.

            Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

For the high price, this unit get VERY poor marks. It picks up large debris and that is all it does. Debris gets caught everywhere in this machine: in the motor fan, in the wheel gears, and in all small crevices of the unit. It does not pick up sediment all. Pool coverage it not adequate: it seems to have no memory of where it has been. Mine is currently inoperable because of leaves bound up in the gears. Lastly, the roller brush as 2 small grommets that get lost the first time you remove the brush. Really poor design. Why use grommets when you should have simply made the mounting holes smaller. UUGGHHH!

              Comments about iRobot Mirra™ 530:

We had our pool cleaner iRobot for over 6 months. I used to plug in my sucker hose after scrubbing the entire pool with my long handled brush than vacuum the pool once every weekend, it always took at least an hour at a minimum.
Now I drop Sally into our pool, plug her in and there she goes, cleans every inch of the pool, floor, wall even the stairs, runs for four hours as advertised, then I just unplug and plug her in again for another four hour run. I take her out, pull out her two baskets and quickly rinse them with a garden hose--total work time on my part at the most five minutes, total work time on sally's part 8 hours and she doesn't need a baby-sitter. Let her do all the work which leaves me all the free time I want. So 32 hours of cleaning a month for the last 6 months and she works as if I just pulled her from the box, totally worth the investment. I am a very Happy customer--the reason we bought the IRobot pool cleaner is that we were really impressed with our 600 series house iRobot. We love them both like family an so happy we bought them.
