The bristle brush of the upgrade kit fit loosely in my roomba550. The green ends wore off in 3 weeks and the roomba started making loud noises when cleaning.
I use roomba to clean my bedroom everyday as I share the space with my 2 month old baby.

I have a rottweiler who sheds like crazy. I don't have to keep my broom in the kitchen anymore. I love my irobot 560 and now everyone will turn on the machine to vacuum the floors. My husband and I think this is the best thing we have spent money on. It is so worth it. Mine also came with the upgrade kit free and its great. I've already recommended this to several people.

there are hepa filters out there for the roomba but not for the aerovac kit. would like to see that in the near future. so far my roomba maid is working great.

The AeroVac is way more powerful than the older unit. The old bin could not pick up the little bits of paper from a hole puncher, but this one can fine. In addition it even picks up pennies and heavier objects which the older bin could not. It picks up about 1/3 more dust in my apartment as well.

I've bought the upgrade tool kit end of October. I've regularly received the package, but with my big surprise, when I opened the package I only found the Vacuum bin. All additional things (3 filters, brush, etc) were missing!!
I've contacted the customer support by e-mail but I've never received a reply.
Regarding the Vacuum bin itself, I'm glad to say that it's definitely better than the old version. So I would recommend it, if Irobot would really send at your home what you've paid for, i.e.: Vacuum bin, replaceable filters, brushes, etc.

When I first got this, I ran my Roomba in the kitchen/family room, leaving the old dust bin in. I then put the new dust bin in and immediately re-vacuumed. The Roomba picked up a lot more fine dust using the new bin.
This makes the Roomba work better on both carpet and hard flooring. Most of the dust/hair/particles get trapped in the dust bin, so less gets into the roller assembly, making that easier to clean.
Overall, this is a great upgrade; however, it does require more power, so you won't get as much cleaning out of one charge.
