I use my 530 Roomba every day to clean the concrete and carpeted floor of our sun room as well as our capeted/wood floored living room.
It was okay before, but the Aerovac kit really did make a huge difference in how much "stuff" the Roomba picks up. Before, it would leave some dirt behind, but now it gets everything and the house is noticeably cleaner after the Roomba gets done. We have 11 rowdy cats, so there is plenty of hair, dust, and plant leaves to keep it occupied.

This upgrade turned a good robot cleaner into a Cleaning robot MONSTER. The only other upgrade I'm considering doing is a better battery pack. Not that stock is bad...but mine are getting old, so don't replace, UPGRADE.
3 Large Dogs, 7 cats, 3 people, 2 roomba's. These things really work and with this upgrade they are amazing. Don't expect them to not need maintenence, but I would rather clean a little roomba every day than the whole floor.
