The little filters really trap a lot of dirt and dust. I tap them on the side of the trash can each time I empty the bin. Easy to snap in and out, so easy to clean or replace. Love the simplicity and effectiveness.

Filters do clog easily, even though I tap them frequently to dislodge some of the dust as I empty the Roomba. I have even tried pressurized "canned" air to try to clean and lengthen their lifespan.

The HEPA filters are too efficient. That is, they get clogged and Roomba looses suction necessary to pick up larger bits of dirt and debris. A HEPA filter really does not clean the air of the room because the volume filtered is minimal compared to the overall room volume. A LESS efficient filter (dust only) is needed, but not available.
